Karl Lane, 23, of Six Mile, was convicted by a jury and sentenced to 215 months in prison.

Prosecutors presented evidence that showed Lane entered a Liberty residence on April 21, 2011 and stole some of the victim's firearms from a gun safe ~ some of the weapons were family heirlooms used in World War I & II.

A neighbor saw the suspect's vehicle in the driveway at the time of the robbery. Lane had also dropped his unemployment benefits card inside the victim's car, according to the Pickens County Solicitor's Office.
