Liberty Community Braves Cold To Remember Emma Boughman At Vigil

The Emma Boughman Vigil held 2/11/12 / City Of Liberty Stadium

Tonight, the Liberty community gathered at the City of Liberty Stadium on Main Street at sunset to remember the life of Emma Boughman.

Temperatures at the time of the memorial service were about 30° with a 15mph northwest wind ~ bringing the wind chill into the lower teens.

A message and scripture reading was performed by Eastside Baptist Pastor Mark Kannarney.

Songs followed, including an acoustic "Amazing Grace" performance by Jamie Crumpton.

A candlelight vigil was planned, but strong, cold winds prevented even covered candles from being lit.

Approximately 200 people attended.
