"The Loss Of Liberty"

The U.S.S. Liberty was an electronic intelligence-gathering ship that was cruising international waters off the Egyptian coast on June 8, 1967. Israeli planes and torpedo boats opened fire on the Liberty in the midst of what became known as the Israeli-Arab Six-Day War. Thirty-four Americans were killed and more than 170 were wounded in the attack.

"The Loss of Liberty" investigates whether the attack was a case of mistaken identity as both the U.S. and Israel claimed, or something more sinister. Hear eyewitness testimony from surviving crew members and interviews with distinguished military personnel and ambassadors.
