PICKENS COUNTY - Filing for (3) seats on the Pickens County School Board will open August 2, 2010.

The seats for Districts 2, 4 (Liberty Area), and 6 are up for re-election this year.

Filing for the positions will be open August 2-16, 2010.

Those interested in running for the seats can file at the office of the Registrations and Elections Commission, located at 222 McDaniel Avenue in Pickens, during normal business hours, 8AM to 5PM Monday through Friday.

The filing fee is $120. Checks should be made out to Pickens County Treasurer.

At the time of filing, each candidate must complete a Statement of Candidacy Form, pay the filing fee, and present proof that they have filed their Statement of Economics Interests form online.
