Despite lingering ice and continued freezing rain in some parts of Liberty - ALL Pickens County Schools are on regular schedule today.
When my son left school yesterday and we walked home - we went through a decent snow shower ... but that turned to steady rain as the evening progressed.
Checking this morning there IS ICE on roads downtown and there may be "black ice" in some shady parts of the road where temperatures are below freezing.
Current temperature in Liberty as of 7:00AM is 35˚.
Forecasters are calling for an additional 1" - 3" of precipitation over the next 24 hours.
Please be careful driving as ice develops.
Also be careful on house steps.
