Pictures From The Liberty 2009 Christmas Parade

I would estimate about 300 people were there ... the entrants were moving to fast to take high quality pictures ...

It would've been nice if the Chamber Of Commerce had made it more widely known about parade information and encouraged floats rather than just people's trucks and SUVs as entrants.

It would have been nice to see floats, more bands, bicycles, dancers...anything besides cars! There was one horse...he was pretty. Even the people IN the parade seemed bored. Most kids I saw watching the parade were screaming for CANDY and begging for the cotton candy and toys that were being sold by the NUMEROUS vendors everywhere. Overall, I think the parade was hurried, plain, and not much fun.

Are the Decorations we see as NEW worth the cost of what I have heard... $6,000.00 upward...
Who was paid for these Decorations... I would like to bid on them next year or is this another project which was not out for bids?

To tell the truth ... I didn't even notice the new decorations if there were any up.

New Decorations as I've been told are on the light poles and in the new pedistrian park including a tree which came from North Carolina costing around $2500.00 completly installed and it was broken and is wired together now. That's the reason I would like to know how to become a bidder on City paid projects. $6000.00 up Total to taxpayers!!!

If you have so many good ideas on how things should be done maybe you should get involved.
