Local Newspapers Rain On Liberty Christmas Parade

Yet again Liberty is shafted in local newspapers ...

I just had my FREE weekly local edition of the Greenville News delivered at 10:00AM THURSDAY December 3, 2009.

Of course as you know (and as reported here 4 WEEKS AGO) Liberty's Christmas Parade was held this past Tuesday ... December 1.

I noticed that The Pickens Sentinel, Courier, and Easley Progress just posted their respective "County Listings Of Parades" yesterday and today.

It's hard to know wether this is the various newspaper's incompetence or the Liberty Chamber Of Commerce. Small mentions in the Greenville News and various other papers and local websites could bring in $1000's to our local businesses - this is a huge missed opportunity.

I mean it is just Liberty!

That's an interesting comment from the facebook transfer person. "Just Liberty" is a wonderful town with so much potential to be a super-fantastic town! I have a feeling that people with that attitude have "just a job", "just a house", "just my spouse", "just my kids", etc.

I don't understand this post. You put a picture in there of the paper and it clearly states when and where the Liberty Parade was being held. In addition, B93.7 announced the Liberty parade that morning.

These papers were delivered to Liberty residents on December 3rd 2009.

The Greenville News first mentioned it on December 2nd in their regular edition.

It was otherwise buried in event calendars.

I'm sure you would find that the Liberty residential demographic is decidedly not your average B93.7 listener but thanks for pointing that out. This story was about local papers shafting Liberty not all local media.
