It may take up to a year to view any of the animals that were seized by Anderson Sheriffs Dept. I have spoken with several of the Anderson Animal Control in an effort to find out something about the animals seized in Liberty but no one can tell me anything about any of the animals. I was told that it could take up to a year before anyone can see the animals that were seized. The Anderson County Sheriffs department has not returned my calls or emails regarding the animals. I fear that anyone who has had an animal missing is in for a heartbreaking time till the animals are finally able to be seen. My biggest fear is that the animals will not be held but euthanized!

I suggest that she confirm that the Mayor cannot help and that she try going to the Pickens County Council meeting tonight.

Update to Liberty dogs seized the dogs have been signed over to the Anderson County Animal Shelter. I made a call this morning after a neighbor reported seeing a news report on channel 4 news that the Patterson’s signed over custody of the seized dogs to Anderson County Animal Shelter. I spoke with an attendant at the facility who substantiated that some of the dogs can be seen and are being placed up for adoption.
I will be going down to the Shelter today to see if my dog is one of the ones that can be viewed as well as find out why the others can not at least be seen by missing pet owners to see if their dogs are among them. Updates will be posted as they arise.
