Voter District Problems

From my Twitter post:

So ... I walk up to the polling place (Liberty 1st Baptist) to check to see how many people had voted by 2:00 - rough estimate was 235 with a few voting as I inquired.

Come to find out, the first few that voted, (including me) were given the wrong ballot.

I was only allowed to vote for Mayor.

I was supposed to be in a different precinct and be able to vote in the Ellen Sells / Dwight Yates council race also.

I filled out a paper ballot.

The poll worker said this affected the first 13 or so that voted from my location.

good evening, I was just informed I lost the race to Dwight Yates.....the disturbing part is the fact that supposedly many voters were denied the right to vote city council due to some computer gliche. I have not been able to confirm this but hope your readers will help. If this is the case, this is totally unacceptable on any level. Thanks for helping shine a light on our great little town. p.s. btw, I was never invited to participate in an interview with you or on your blog.......

Both my wife and I "revoted".

So we have double confirmation of the problem.

I sent an email to your AOL address and I think I've done a pretty good job to get my name out there.

Call me and we can interview ... There is much that can be done that doesn't involve being an elected official.

Over the next few weeks to months you'll see this site expose a number of issues that I've had to keep under wraps due to the election and trying hard to be friends so I could attempt to conduct interviews. There will have to be answers and changes.

PLEASE GET EVERYONE YOU CAN TO COME TO THE NEXT CITY COUNCIL MEETING! I'll be making another announcement.

Can't wait to read about the issues you plan to open up to the public. This has been needed for long time! So many people in this community have no idea of the things that are going on right under their nose.
