It is terrible what people do to animals. What is even more terrible is that Animal Control will not let anyone who is missing a dog in that area even see the dogs. I have called several times to be told the dogs are involved in court case and can not be seen. I have been missing my dog since 11/3/09 and I live less than 3 miles from this womans location. I know of several more people who are missing their dogs from that area also chances are good that they could be among the seized animals. Our poor babies could be suffering instead home with us!

Thank you for your comment and I'm sorry you're facing this issue. Have you tried to call Liberty Animal Control or the Mayor Of Liberty to see if they could intervene?

May take up to a year to view any of the animals that were seized by Anderson Sheriffs dept. I have spoken with several of the Anderson Animal Control in an effort to find out something about the animals seized in Liberty but no one can tell me anything about any of the animals. I was told that it could take up to a year before anyone can see the animals that were seized. The Anderson County Sheriffs department has not returned my calls or emails regarding the animals. I fear that anyone who has had an animal missing is in for a heartbreaking time till the animals are finally able to be seen. My biggest fear is that the animals will not be held but euthanized!

Christine, what did Mayor Deese say?

You could also try County Council. Meeting is tonight. You need to call to get on the docket to speak. See my post about County Council that was made this morning.

Anderson County MUST yield some authority to Pickens County as well.
