Walked outta the house 4 evening walk/smelled something awful/Then a buncha vultures flew off.

I walked up the hill near our house to see what it was - we started theorizing on what it might be. Human, Deer, Dog?
When I looked at it - it looked like a monkey!
It's face - which I just couldn't stand to get any closer of a picture without gagging - looks like a monkey!
I called the police department while I went with my wife and son to eat at Pancho's.
The police officer, who said he reads ATLIBERTYTOSAY, commented that it was most likely a dog. When I questioned him about the face, he said it was most likely flattened and that's why there was no snout/muzzle - typical of a dog or deer. It couldn't have been a deer though - it had a long tail - which is why I thought it was a monkey.
